Dr. Thomas Schafft

Dr. Thomas Schafft advises on intellectual property law, new media law, data protection law, and technology agreements. He serves as an arbitrator for domain name disputes at the Czech Arbitration Court in Prague.

Dr. Schafft is a certified specialist in intellectual property (Fachanwalt für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz) and IT law (Fachanwalt für Informationstechnologierecht) and a graduate mathematician. He has been practicing law since 2000. Before joining SSH, he was a partner at AMPERSAND and HK Krüger Rechtsanwälte. Previously, he worked in the Munich office of the international law firm Lovells (now Hogan Lovells). Dr. Schafft studied law and mathematics at the universities of Hamburg and Passau.

In 2026, the Handelsblatt, in cooperation with Best Lawyers, honored him as one of Germany's best IT lawyers.
